Husqvarna 353 Review

One glance at the 353 and you know this chainsaw has the solid, dependable feel of a Husky.

It boasts a forged three-piece crankshaft and magnesium crankcase designed to withstand high rpms and the tough conditions of a professional-class saw. But that's not all.Starting the saw should not be difficult as it is fitted with Smart Start so, after a few safety steps, a fairly light pull on the starter cord is all that's needed to fire the 51.7cc engine into life.Tester Mark Ekin checks the chain brake. It is responsive but we understand that Husqvarna can supply this model with TrioBrake to allow the chain brake to be activated either automatically or by the operator's left or right hand
