US (CO): Basalt workshop set on solar greenhouses The Central Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute in Basalt is offering a workshop Saturday, July 11, on solar greenhouse design and management. Instructor Jerome Osentowski will discuss site selection, design and construction of special greenhouses that not only collect solar energy, but store heat for use at night or during cloudy days. Participants will tour the institute's greenhouses at its campus on the sun-drenched slopes on the south side of Basalt Mountain.
