WHEN IT CAME time to landscape, the architect wanted nothing but natives. The owner requested a low-maintenance garden with spaces for outdoor living. Landscape architect David Pfeiffer could picture the hillside property studded in boulders and clothed in a mix of natives and ornamentals. "David and I had nice pushback" says architect Geoff Prentiss of the collaboration that resulted in an earth-friendly garden as naturalistic and bold as the house it complements.
