Master Gardener classes begin in September

The OSU Cleveland County Extension office is accepting registration for the 2009 Master Gardener program. Space is limited. The cost is $85 per person, which supplies each student with a detailed gardening manual as well as research-based information provided by the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. The classes are open to anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent and are targeted toward individuals with a genuine interest in horticulture. Classes begin Sept. 17 and are offered every Thursday through Dec. 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, 603 E. Robinson St. Topics covered include: botany, vegetable gardening, disease and insect control, trees, shrubs, fruit, lawn care and more.
