The AUSTRALIAN HORTICULTURAL EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION [AHEA] is the peak industry body representing exporters of fresh fruit and vegetables from Australia.
Our members, we believe, contribute to at least 70 % of the costs of the AQIS INSPECTION PROGRAM, which will be more than $ 7.3 million in 2009/2010.
We were formed more than 22 years ago to provide a united voice for exporters, and amongst several national issues at the time, oppose moves by the then Government to introduce 50 % cost recovery for AQIS, so the issues never change.
