Rs 6.18cr funds for horticulture since 2005

PANAJI: Union minister of state for agriculture K V Thomas has told MP Shantaram Naik in a written reply that Rs 6.18 crore has been given as financial assistance to Goa, from 2005-06 to 2008-09, towards the implementation of the National Horticulture Mission. Requiring an overall investment of $13,467,970, this project will result in the creation of 34 jobs in Rivière-du-Loup and eight in Pointe-Lebel, while ensuring the maintenance of 125 existing jobs at Premier Horticulture, a division of Premier Tech Ltd.
