India: Financial assistance for urban horticulture

TIRUNELVELI: If you are planning to beautify your home with a kitchen garden or roof garden with fruits and vegetables, you can get financial assistance from Indian Overseas Bank.
According to the Senior Regional Manager, IOB, S. Ramadoss, many independent houses, bungalows, guest houses, offices and private institutions in the urban areas have an open space inside the compound and on the terrace, which can be used for horticultural purposes like raising kitchen garden, flower garden, small orchards or roof gardens. SC ag department encouraging specialty crops - State & Regional - Wire - The State

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina producers who support certain crops could be eligible for special assistance. Agriculture Commissioner Hugh Weathers says his agency is now accepting applications for institutions and groups that support crops like fruits and vegetables, dried fruit, tree nuts, horticulture and nursery crops. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service as established by the 2008 Farm Bill

Rs 6.18cr funds for horticulture since 2005

PANAJI: Union minister of state for agriculture K V Thomas has told MP Shantaram Naik in a written reply that Rs 6.18 crore has been given as financial assistance to Goa, from 2005-06 to 2008-09, towards the implementation of the National Horticulture Mission. PRERF Premier Horticulture Ltd receives $4,892,103 in funding from the Government of Canada for major modernization project

RIVIÈRE-DU-LOUP, QC, Jul 8, 2009 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- PRERF Quote Chart News PowerRating -- The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, today announced that Premier Horticulture Ltd has been awarded $4,892,103 in repayable funding through the Community Adjustment Fund to modernize and increase the production capacity of two Rivière-du-Loup plants. Requiring an overall investment of $13,467,970, this project will result in the creation of 34 jobs in Rivière-du-Loup and eight in Pointe-Lebel, while ensuring the maintenance of 125 existing jobs at Premier Horticulture, a division of Premier Tech Ltd.
